Hi Members – Please remember Angling can be dangerous – it is a condition of your permit that if you are using the boat you must wear an appropriate Life Jacket – if you are wading you must also wear a Life Jacket.
We would recommend that you use a Life Jacket that inflates when immersed in water.
It is important that we point out that wading at Glengavel Reservoir can be
dangerous due to sudden drop offs into deep water & banks whose make up is
soft sand and gravel – please note that in areas the water drops off to 100ft
or more very suddenly. You must when wading wear a life vest.
