Didn’t look like the best day for angling the temperature was only 0.5c when we approached Glengavel this morning Sunday 15th of March. The perceived wisdom is that it’s best waiting to mid April before fishing the Reservoir (it is at 900ft above sea level) & the early signs weren’t encouraging – when we arrived to a flat calm & bright blues skies.
There was a fantastic turn out & thanks to all the brave anglers who turned out in such biting cold conditions. The Hut was busy prior to 9.00 with Anglers renewing permits and a number of new members signing up.
There may have only been 3 Trout caught but what crackers they were.
