Hi
Just a short post to let you know some of our eggs are hatching – the Trout Eggs in our Hatchery having been poping out for over a week & here is a picture to prove it.
This is over a month earlier than last year – which is due to the higher temperatures we have experienced this winter – but it didn’t feel like that up at the ponds today – the wind had a real chill factor – brrr!!!
However this winter has been labelled as the mildest on record.
Was keen to dook some worms for Grayling – but the 30mph winds made sure that wasn’t possible. (Since writing this I discovered some characters I know were fishing the Upper Clyde at the same time proving I’m a wimp or not as mad as them?)
Roll on the warmer weather & the 15th of March.
Tightlines.
