It was great to hear from Bill Eadie who took the trouble to have an end of season cast at Glengavel & was rewarded with 30 plus Brownies – well done Bill check out his report and photos below 😀
After a few calls and a look at the weather decided on Glengavel till lunch then a afternoon after salmon.
I find that the further afield you go the better the fishing,so with this in mind parked way up on the muirkirk road. Got out the car to pure silence sunshine and alight wind. Walked down the hill and it was a picture.
What a morning.
I was a good bit up the stream so had a wee go with a weighted nymph

The next thing i new it was 3pm,no lunch,soup, coffee but over 30+ fish in the net

What day to end the trout season,not big fish but everyone out of the water and all over the place(wullie must feed them on red bull),i have found that its not the size or method i just enjoy catching fish. 😀 😀
